The short version: the account belongs to the parent. We collect no personal information from children. On the child's PC, the app looks at one thing only — the titles of active windows — so it can tell when a game is running. No keystrokes, no screen recording, no browsing history, no microphone, no camera. Ever.
LockTheGame accounts are created by and belong to a parent or legal guardian. Children never create accounts, never enter their names or email addresses, and are never asked for any personal information by the software.
LockTheGame does not record keystrokes, capture the screen, read browsing history, access files, or use the microphone or camera. It has no chat features and no way for anyone to contact your child.
LockTheGame is designed with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) principles in mind: we practice data minimization and collect no personal information from children under 13 (or any child). All account data belongs to the parent. If you believe any personal information about a child has reached us in error, email us and we will delete it promptly.
Quiz scores and play-time totals are stored in a secured cloud database, keyed to your license. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We use it only to run the product and support you.
Email us from your signup address and we will delete your license, dashboard data, and email from our systems.
