Terms of Service

Last updated: August 22, 2026 (Free Beta)

1. What LockTheGame is

LockTheGame is Windows software that limits access to certain games (currently Roblox and Minecraft) until a child completes curriculum quizzes chosen by their parent or guardian. By downloading or using it you agree to these terms.

2. Your license

Your license key grants one household — a single family — the right to install LockTheGame on any number of personal computers within that household. The license may not be used in schools, internet cafes, businesses, or any commercial or institutional setting, and may not be resold or shared outside your family.

3. Free beta

LockTheGame is currently a free beta. Features may change, break, or be removed while we improve the product. We may email you about important product changes.

4. No guarantee against circumvention

LockTheGame is designed to be difficult for children to bypass — but no software can guarantee a determined user with physical access to a computer will never find a way around it. You agree that LockTheGame and its makers are not liable for any circumvention of the software by a child or any other person, nor for any consequences of such circumvention. LockTheGame is a tool that supports parenting; it is not a substitute for supervision.

5. Your responsibilities

6. Warranty disclaimer

LockTheGame is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software (during the free beta: zero).

7. Trademarks

Roblox and Minecraft are trademarks of their respective owners. LockTheGame is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation or Mojang/Microsoft.

8. Changes and contact
